This is a fantastic opportunity to own a cool house at a great price. Heading for foreclosure, all it needs is a little love & cleaning up to be fabulous. No fix-up work to do (at all) - it's a wonderful house with all the goodies. Three bedrooms, two baths, garage, new windows & doors, air conditioning, remodeled kitchen & bath, garden level basement with built-in office furniture. Wish I had pictures from when the current owner lived there - it just felt GOOD! If I were in the market for a home... I'd buy this in a heartbeat.

Mountain Home, In-Town Amenities

July 8th, 2008
I just listed the cutest little house ever... in Evergreen, Colorado. It's the kind of place you walk in and say "Oooooh, I want this!" Pottery Barn meets Santa Fe - the owner is an artist and the place just feels good. Warm... cheerful... flooded with light.

For those familiar with Evergreen, it's not one of those "mountain retreats" that sits at the tippy-top of a hill, three long brutal miles up a winding, pot-holed, street-sign-free dirt road. Nope, it's just a mile from downtown, off Hwy 73, easy-peasy to find and get to.

The lot is small - city-size actually - but there's a natural park

Looking for Foreclosures/Short Sales/REO’s in Denver… but don’t know where to start?

June 17th, 2008
Frankly, neither do I. I’ve made the executive decision that the Foreclosure market is not my thing. In the late 90’s, I worked with a lot of investors, but that was a different world – one in which the sellers actually seemed to want to sell! I’ve heard so many horror stories of deals that seemed too good to be true… and were. Or sales that dragged on and on for months only to eventually disintegrate after wasting an incredible amount of time and energy.

Nonetheless, today’s market does offer incredible opportunities for the amateur or professional investor and I’ll bet a lot of us will wish we’d

What's a "Good" Real Estate Agent?

June 14th, 2008
A few weeks ago, I did a presentation for a local real estate company on Prospecting without a Sales Pitch. When I got to the part about why I think it’s more important to be a good real estate agent than to be a good real estate prospector, a hand went up in the back of the room.

“What exactly do you mean by being a “good” real estate agent?”

Ahhhhhh…. I’m SO glad you asked.

Our industry celebrates production. Therefore, if you have lots of that (production), you are “good.” Eh, I don’t agree so much. I’ve known many a successful real estate agent

It's Finally Summer in Denver!

June 14th, 2008
Those who know me well know I’m a summer girl. I have to force myself out the door when it’s below 70 degrees - and I come alive as the thermometer reaches toward 100. A lot of my friends thought I was nuts when I moved from dry, temperate, bug-free Denver to hot, humid, home-of-the-mosquito Alabama, but I tell ya, it was bliss for me (you just stay inside during the hours of 4:00 and 6:00pm when the mosquitoes come out to feed). But anyway, here I am back in my beloved Denver and it’s SUMMER! Yay!!! It’s time to play!
